I’ve met a lot of different communities, and ‘Signal’ is seemingly a tool that a lot of people use for good reason.
However, signal comes packed with some useful features like obfuscating text in messages, scrubbing meta data from photos, timed messages.
Yet all of that comes with some complexity that I hear from people, that it sometimes feels overwhelming.
So I’ve thought about hand drawing a zine, but wanted to get some input from this group about what might be useful in the zine, the target audience is someone who does not have technical knowledge of computer systems but understands they want to use some of the features, they generally don’t know either what the feature is called OR they don’t know where to find it.
What are features of ‘Signal’ that you use?

Good points, I love folders and pinning.
I think there is value in increasing the asymmetric communication, by pinning something that can also provide context for the chat.
I find that posting a link, and pinning the link has been useful in some of my experiences. I scanned the zine, but I think I need to include folding instructions, since I took a little bit different approach than fold down and cut in the middle.
I think there is also an upload size limit here which I need to check the scanned PDF came in at a hefty 16mb.
