I’ve been a malware researcher at ESET for 5 years and an anarchist mutual aid-y guy for much longer than that.
My day-to-day is mostly reverse engineering and threat intel. I’m interested in privacy, threats against civil society, OS internals, and attribution.
Becoming more and more disillusioned with the CTI industry; a lot of the big players publish shoddy intel, focusing more on FUD and hype than useful information. Threat intelligence should not be a product only available to organizations who can afford it and this community feels like a step in a better direction.
Outside of the cyber-stuff, I like DIY (mostly bike repairs and woodworking), making beer, reading, museums, and radical left-wing politics.
