I’m a computer geek of many trades. Started coding on a C64 in elementary school. Bought a modem through the Pennysaver in high school because my parents explicitly forbade me to have one. You can pretty much guess where that went…
I’ve been online since the early 90’s. Been doing security professionally since 2000.ev or therabouts because I knew that the days of folks just messing around for fun were drawing to a close and things were going to get bad. I’ve touched on pretty much everything, from system administration and network design to penetration testing, code review, incident response, reverse engineering, and physical security. I’ve also made the occasional foray into aerospace engineering, broadcast engineering, and computational pharmacology.
Interests:
Electronics. Assistive technologies. Bookbinding and restoring old books. Locksport and locksmithing. Music. Weird and obscure stuff that catches my fancy. Electronics. Pinball. High altitude ballooning. Tabletop RPGs (playing, running, and writing). Sewing and tailoring.
Fun fact about me:
A few jobs back I built a neural network to automate dicking around on Slack so that my cow-orkers would stop pestering me and I could get real work done.
