Hey all. I’ve been in the security industry for a few years, application security and a bit of reverse engineering and malware analysis.
I joined to learn more about threat intelligence and research, and it seemed like a nice place from @da_667’s post on Mastodon. I hope I can share some of my own knowledge too.

Though I’m not staff, I’m opinionated and feel that if we approach things in earnest, people will reciprocate kindly. That being said:
This seems to be a place of learning, community, and collective growth. We have people like @da_667 who are public and mentor-like. But there are also people like me. I’m real, in that I am a person, but you’ve never seen me on the news. I’ve been a lot of things in my career. Some of them have involved making software do things it wasn’t supposed to do.
I wouldn’t worry to much about being “good enough” or “qualified” to join a forum. At least in my mind you are more than welcome here and we are stronger for having you. So thank you for joining.
