In some ways, IFIN is meant to present an alternative to the ISAC model of threat intel sharing. It presents a cautionary tale about the over-reliance on government funding—especially from a government as mercurial as the United Stats’. Nevertheless, it’s a shame to see an organization that’s protected its members struggle.
