Ubuntu services under attack

I’d add that https://api.snapcraft.io and https://snapcraft.io (which hosts the docs among other things) appears to be part of the impacted Canonical infrastructure still impacted. Certain Flathub packages like Slack that use snap return errors that the snapcraft API isn’t reachable:

Error: While downloading https://api.snapcraft.io/api/v1/snaps/download/JUJH91Ved74jd4ZgJCpzMBtYbPOzTlsD_244.snap: While fetching https://api.snapcraft.io/api/v1/snaps/download/JUJH91Ved74jd4ZgJCpzMBtYbPOzTlsD_244.snap: [6] Could not resolve hostname

This means the impact isn’t just limited to Ubuntu, but extends to anything on Flathub or other package platsforms that utilize api.snapcraft.io for users, and development resources for maintainers

Sorry to resurrect, but the postmortem from Davi Ottenheimer is just phenomenal, including business a investigation of Beamed (the booter) and a breakdown of the problematic nature of Cloudflare.
